This Privacy Policy explains how SparkySafe Pro (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) handles information when you use our iOS application. SparkySafe Pro is an electrical compliance and test reporting tool for electricians.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to users of SparkySafe Pro on Apple platforms. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
2. Information we process
Depending on how you use the App, we may process:
- Report content you enter — including site addresses, client names, electrician details, circuit schedules, test results, visual inspection checks, signatures, and related job metadata.
- Photos and camera captures — when you choose to attach photo evidence or scan documents. Camera and photo library access require your permission on device.
- Device and usage data — standard technical information needed to run the App on your device (for example, app version and device OS), which may be processed by Apple as part of App Store and device services.
- AI-assisted analysis inputs — text or image content you submit for OCR or safety analysis features that use Google Gemini.
3. Where your data is stored
Compliance reports and related content are stored locally on your device (including on-device storage such as local app storage). We do not operate a SparkySafe Pro user account system that syncs your reports to our own servers as a core feature of the current App.
If you uninstall the App or clear app data, locally stored reports and attachments may be permanently deleted. You are responsible for exporting or backing up records you need to retain for regulatory or business purposes.
4. How we use information
We use information you provide to:
- Create, edit, display, and store compliance reports on your device;
- Generate certificates and related report outputs;
- Provide optional OCR and AI-assisted safety analysis features;
- Improve reliability and support the App’s intended electrical reporting workflow;
- Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
5. Google Gemini and third-party processing
Certain optional features (including OCR / document scanning assistance and safety analysis) may send content you choose to submit to Google’s Gemini API for processing. When you use those features, Google may process the submitted content under Google’s terms and privacy practices for the Gemini API.
Do not submit information to AI features that you are not authorised to process, and avoid including unnecessary personal information in prompts or scanned materials where possible.
6. Permissions
- Camera — used only when you capture photo evidence or scan materials.
- Photo library — used only when you select or save images related to reports.
You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings. Some features may not work without them.
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared only:
- With service providers that process data on our behalf to operate AI-assisted features (for example, Google for Gemini API requests you initiate);
- With Apple as needed to distribute and operate the App through the App Store and related platform services;
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process;
- If you choose to export, share, print, or otherwise disclose a report outside the App.
8. Data retention
Report data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the App. AI requests you initiate may be processed transiently by third-party providers according to their retention practices. Retain copies of compliance records according to your professional and legal obligations.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to an on-device reporting app. No method of electronic storage is completely secure. Protect access to your device with a passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, and OS updates.
10. Children’s privacy
SparkySafe Pro is intended for professional use by electricians and related trades. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
11. International processing
If you use AI-assisted features, content may be processed on servers located outside Australia, including by Google. By using those features, you acknowledge that processing may occur in other countries.
12. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information.
- You can edit or delete reports inside the App.
- You can revoke camera/photo permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can stop using AI features by not submitting content to those tools.

13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
